During “The Sandy Dialogues” Workshop at the Wells Reserve, the experience of SuperStorm Sandy will be presented from the municipal perspective. Lessons learned from the visiting NJ municipal officials will be shared along with reactions from the Maine municipal officials that traveled to NJ with a focus on the preparedness measures our communities can make. A demonstration of the New Jersey Flood Mapper will be shared, a website designed to help NJ communities make decisions concerning flooding hazards and sea level rise. Following the presentations participants will be able to engage with speakers in a facilitated dialogue. Breakfast will be provided. There is no charge for the workshops but registration is required.
