The Concerned Citizens of South Portland

TODAY--and in the coming weeks--WE NEED YOU!

Tar Sands Bomb on the bridge dupe

South Portland needs your assistance – and the Concerned Citizens of South Portland (CCSP) can support you – as they continue their impressive work to stop Tar Sands Oil from flowing into Casco Bay. There are a number of opportunities for you to support the CCSP – with June 6th a key date, as the CCSP kicks off their new Campaign. There are also a host of opportunities for you to volunteer your support over the coming weeks.

350 Maine fully supports the Concerned Citizens of South Portland!

And YOU have a number of opportunities to support them in the coming weeks. Here’s information from our previous announcement: On Thursday, June 6, we look forward to attending two Concerned Citizens of South Portland (CCSP) events:

  • the official launch of a new campaign to protect South Portland from Tar Sands Oil. Please join us to learn about it in front of the South Portland City Hall at 10:30 am.
  • the CCSP Campaign Kick-Off Party in the Senior Room of the South Portland Community Center. Drop in sometime between 4 pm and 8 pm for iced tea, coffee and light refreshments. This will be a social and working/organizing event.

In addition, mark your calendars to support the CCSP via your volunteer efforts @ one or more of their Days of Action: Saturday, June 8; Sunday, June 9; Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16. Sign up to volunteer here - or contact the CCSP directly at ConcernedCitizensofSoPo@gmail.com for further information. And be sure to see their new Facebook Page.

Looking forward to seeing you in South Portland!
